Official times are now posted, and they say 1:01:21 for me, so officially a personal best! They also show I placed 63rd overall out of 89, but a lot of those listed ahead of me only did the 2.5 mile option. Not sure why they aren't separated into two lists, but whatevs. I am still thrilled with my results!

Race for Roofs
Saturday was the 5 mile Race for Roofs, held by Englewood Community Development Corp. This is just a small neighborhood race, but it is still one of my favorite events for several reasons:
- Proceeds go to provide rental assistance to neighborhood residents. Since I work in affordable housing, this is one of my passions. Everyone deserves a safe affordable place to live.
- I know several people there, and hearing people cheering my name as I approach the finish line really gives me an extra boost.
- Homemade cookies in the swag bag!
